Andrew says: Maverick belongs to my friends David and Nick. She was abandoned at just a few days old by her mother, one of the many feral cats at Nick's parents' farm. David and Nick have hand-reared her. They even had to teach her how to use the litter box properly! She's a dear little thing and being hand-reared has given her some really curious (but endearing) habits.
What a beautiful little girl! She reminds me of our little Dundee (named Crockodile Dundee because she was very fiesty) who passed away at the ripe old age of 19. She was an orphaned feral kitten who immediately latched onto my husband when down by the riverbank behind our home. She thought my husband was her Mom and she was, for her entire life, "his girl" right up until the moment she died in his arms as we were rushing to the vet when she suffered from a stroke. You're right as far as ferels having some quirky habits--but watching how a feral animal becomes domesticated is quite interesting. I'm glad baby Maverick has found such a loving home with Nick and Dave. Hand-rearing a baby feral makes all the difference! She's a real sweetie pie.
She is so beautiful , you read how all these little ones lost their mother and you just can't help but hope they all get good loving homes.
She is so just so sweet.
